Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rudolf Nureyev, Paris, July 25, 1961 by Richard Avedon was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,420.00 (€ 19,402.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Avedon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London in November last year with an auction result of GBP 809,000.00 (€ 937,446.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rudolf Nureyev, Paris, July 25, 1961 von Richard Avedon kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.420,00 (€ 19.402,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Avedon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 809.000,00 (€ 937.446,28).
