Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Estes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gifts of Nature in March this year with an auction result of USD 1,284,000.00 (€ 1,181,015.45).

Die Arbeit The Ginger Man, from Urban Landscapes No. 2 von Richard Estes kam im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.300,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Estes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gifts of Nature im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.284.000,00 (€ 1.181.015,45).
