Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roe Ethridge could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Aperture auction, the work Rockaway, Dawn Patrol, 2008 changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,219.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roe Ethridge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Myla With Column in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 33,750.00 (€ 24,743.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roe Ethridge konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Aperture wechselte die Arbeit Rockaway, Dawn Patrol, 2008 für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.219,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roe Ethridge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Myla With Column im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.750,00 (€ 24.743,40).
