Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Vinland, 1992 by Sally Mann. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,391.30). Admittedly, works by Sally Mann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candy Cigarette in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 257,000.00 (€ 205,107.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vinland, 1992 von Sally Mann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 30.240,00 (€ 27.391,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sally Mann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candy Cigarette im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 257.000,00 (€ 205.107,74).
