Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Bram Stoker'S Chair V by Sam Taylor-Johnson. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,818.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sam Taylor-Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work After Van Halen, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 88,000.00 (€ 57,944.29).
