Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Sérgio de Camargo was sold in the Virtue auction at Christies in New York in June 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,242.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sérgio de Camargo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,591,209.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sérgio de Camargo wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Virtue bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.242,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sérgio de Camargo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.591.209,76).
