Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Grünfeld could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the CONTEMPORARY ART auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,903.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Grünfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Misfit (Cow) in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,649.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Grünfeld konnte im Juni 2001 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.903,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Grünfeld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Misfit (Cow) im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.070,00 (€ 44.649,28).
