The work Porträt (T. Djordjadze) by Thomas Ruff was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 38,100.00 (€ 34,510.87), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Thomas Ruff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jpeg pt01 in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 230,864.55).

Die Arbeit Porträt (T. Djordjadze) von Thomas Ruff wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 38.100,00 (€ 34.510,87) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Ruff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jpeg pt01 im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 230.864,55).
