Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Progression by Tony Lewis. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,879.48). Admittedly, works by Tony Lewis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work no in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,588.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Progression von Tony Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.600,00 (€ 12.879,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tony Lewis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit no im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.588,87).
