Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Arbre de la volupté by Victor Brauner for USD 170,000.00 (€ 158,419.53). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Victor Brauner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indicateur de l'espace in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Arbre de la volupté von Victor Brauner für USD 170.000,00 (€ 158.419,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Brauner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indicateur de l'espace im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
