This artwork by Victor Vasarely achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Milan in December 2021. In the Contemporary Art | Milan auction, the work Nefeleys sold for EUR 69,300.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Victor Vasarely have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Vasarely erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan wurde die Arbeit Nefeleys für EUR 69.300,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
