Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work The Walled Wheatfield (Corner Of The Enclosure Behind Saint Paul'S Hospital) by Vincent van Gogh. It changed hands for a price of USD 434,500.00 (€ 351,423.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincent van Gogh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verger avec cyprès in November last year with an auction result of USD 117,180,000.00 (€ 113,513,513.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Walled Wheatfield (Corner Of The Enclosure Behind Saint Paul'S Hospital) von Vincent van Gogh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 434.500,00 (€ 351.423,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincent van Gogh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verger avec cyprès im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 117.180.000,00 (€ 113.513.513,51).
