Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction CoBrA, which included the work “Den heliga hund” (The Holy Dog) by Wilhelm Freddie. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 65,000.00 (€ 8,719.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Freddie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Skandale i selskabslivet, Køkkenet”, 1966 in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 85,000.00 (€ 74,287.71).
