It achieved a price of GBP 76,200.00 (€ 88,683.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Admittedly, works by Wolfgang Tillmans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).

Die Arbeit Indian Corn & Pomme Granate von Wolfgang Tillmans kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 76.200,00 (€ 88.683,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
