A top price for Yayoi Kusama
The work Untitled (Nets) by Yayoi Kusama was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in New York in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,496,000 (€ 9,781,008), 50% above the upper estimate. With this result, Untitled (Nets) is even the most expensive work of art by Yayoi Kusama that we have observed at auctions so far.
