This artwork by Yto Barrada achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in May 2011. In the Photographs auction, the work Vacant Plot, Tangier sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,432.20) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yto Barrada have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 36,770.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yto Barrada erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Vacant Plot, Tangier für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.432,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yto Barrada auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 36.770,89).
