Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zachary Armstrong could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 2,060.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zachary Armstrong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,191.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zachary Armstrong konnte im April 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 2.060,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zachary Armstrong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.191,74).
