Japanese art at the Art Institute Chicago

In two cycles, Jan. 15-April 10, 2022, and April 16-June 26, 2022, the Art Institute Chicago's exhibition The Golden Age of Kabuki Prints is devoted to prints by various Japanese artists of the Katsukawa School. They all depict famous actors of the Kabuki theater from the 18th century.

Kunsthalle Hamburg: »FUTURA – Measuring Time«.

With FUTURA – Measuring Time, the Hamburger Kunsthalle has opened an interdisciplinary dialogue. In it, 30 artists of different generations reflect their understanding of the future as a form of thinking. Bogomir Ecker's 25-year-old dripstone machine will be at the centre of the exhibition. FUTURA can be seen until 10 April 2022.

Liste Art Fair Basel with new research forum

Since a few weeks a new Liste research forum is available: Liste Expedition. The free platform serves as an artist index for the digital fairs Liste Showtime 2020 and 2021. In the coming years, it will be continuously expanded. At the same time, in conjunction with Spike Art Magazine, new essays on individual artworks will be published monthly and web exhibitions will change weekly.

Extensive presentation of the duo DRIFT at MK&G Hamburg

On January 11, 2017, the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie was ceremoniously inaugurated. In the meantime, five years have passed and so the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe dedicates the exhibition DRIFT - Moments of Connection to the Hamburg landmark. Since January 7, works by the duo DRIFT will not only be on display in the museum itself, but also in the outdoor area of the »Elphi«.

The Otto-Modersohn-Museum in Fischerhude near Bremen opened on 08 January 2022 the exhibition Otto Modersohn. Retrospective. Sehen − Fühlen − Machen III. Numerous new acquisitions from the last two years are presented together with loans from private collections and offer new insights into Modersohn's oeuvre of about 12,000 works.
