Paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures by artists who have defined the art scene in South Asian countries in the 20th and 21st centuries. Some works are being offered for resale for the first time since they were purchased directly from the creator − a special opportunity for collectors that could provide some surprises at the auction.
Artists on offer here include the likes of Hamra Abbas, Rameshwar Broota, Atul Dodiya, Bhupen Khakhar, Sayed Haider Raza, Arpita Singh and Francis Newton Souza. The exhibition for the auction has been running since Friday and will still be on display from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. local time tomorrow, Tuesday.
