Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lampadaire modèle "figure" by Alberto Giacometti was auctioned at Christies in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 239,400.00 (€ 223,091.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).

Die Arbeit Lampadaire modèle "figure" von Alberto Giacometti kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 239.400,00 (€ 223.091,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
