The work Lunia Czechowska (À La Robe Noire) by Amedeo Modigliani was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,245,000.00 (€ 22,643,286.39), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Amedeo Modigliani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nu Couché in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 170,405,000.00 (€ 161,337,814.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lunia Czechowska (À La Robe Noire) von Amedeo Modigliani wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.245.000,00 (€ 22.643.286,39) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amedeo Modigliani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nu Couché im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.405.000,00 (€ 161.337.814,81).
