Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tête by Amedeo Modigliani was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 34,325,000.00 (€ 30,787,514.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000,000.00 – 40,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Amedeo Modigliani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nu Couché in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 170,405,000.00 (€ 161,337,814.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tête von Amedeo Modigliani kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 34.325.000,00 (€ 30.787.514,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000.000,00 – 40.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amedeo Modigliani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nu Couché im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.405.000,00 (€ 161.337.814,81).
