This artwork by Andy Warhol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2001. In the Post War and Contemporary auction, the work Floral Bouquet and Birds sold for USD 23,500.00 (€ 27,794.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andy Warhol erzielte im Mai 2001 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary wurde die Arbeit Floral Bouquet and Birds für USD 23.500,00 (€ 27.794,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
