Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2001 Christies in London held the auction IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN & POST WAR ART, which included the work Hommage à Yves Klein by Arman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 16,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 20,836.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Accord Majeur, 1962 in January 2008 with an auction result of EUR 371,760.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN & POST WAR ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hommage à Yves Klein von Arman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.925,00 (€ 20.836,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Accord Majeur, 1962 im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 371.760,00.
