A top price for Arnold Chang - as previously expected
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Gazing after Glow by Arnold Chang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,667.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Gazing after Glow is the most expensive artwork by Arnold Chang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gazing after Glow von Arnold Chang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.667,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Gazing after Glow das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arnold Chang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
