Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Jeune bergère by Berthe Morisot was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March this year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 18,000, but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 69,300. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berthe Morisot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme et enfant au balcon in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,085,000 (€ 4,780,966).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Jeune bergère von Berthe Morisot war einem Käufer im März diesen Jahres EUR 69.300 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Auction bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berthe Morisot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.085.000 (€ 4.780.966).
