Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Máscara by Bridget Tichenor was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,247.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bridget Tichenor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October last year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 152,204.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Máscara von Bridget Tichenor wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.247,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bridget Tichenor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 152.204,55).
