Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Christopher Wool was sold in the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,642,000.00 (€ 4,318,000.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christopher Wool have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Riot) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,930,000.00 (€ 27,223,940.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Christopher Wool wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.642.000,00 (€ 4.318.000,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christopher Wool auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Riot) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.930.000,00 (€ 27.223.940,33).
