Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included this untitled work by Christopher Wool. The price achieved of GBP 630,000.00 (€ 731,880.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wool achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Riot) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,930,000.00 (€ 27,223,940.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Christopher Wool zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 630.000,00 (€ 731.880,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wool erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Riot) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.930.000,00 (€ 27.223.940,33).
