Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Heatwave: Online Auction, which included the work Untitled (Marilyn) by Cindy Sherman. The price achieved of GBP 11,340.00 (€ 13,298.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Marilyn) von Cindy Sherman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.340,00 (€ 13.298,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
