Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Housing Project, Courtyard, Bayonne, New Jersey, 1966; New Houses, Jersey City, New Jersey, 1966 by Dan Graham was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dan Graham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Empty Shoji Screen Pergola / Two-Way Mirror Container in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,131.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Housing Project, Courtyard, Bayonne, New Jersey, 1966; New Houses, Jersey City, New Jersey, 1966 von Dan Graham kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dan Graham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Empty Shoji Screen Pergola / Two-Way Mirror Container im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.131,81).
