Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Donald Moffett could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Lot 010697 changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,810.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Donald Moffett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gold / Passage in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 87,633.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Donald Moffett konnte im März 2021 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Lot 010697 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.810,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Donald Moffett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gold / Passage im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 87.633,20).
