Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Peggy Converse: Two Photographs by Edward Weston was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in New York in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,451.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Weston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,033,530.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Peggy Converse: Two Photographs von Edward Weston wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.451,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Weston erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.609.000,00 (€ 1.033.530,32).
