Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Meer by Emil Nolde was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,653.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Nolde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herbstmeer XVI in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,344,500.00 (€ 6,305,915.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Meer von Emil Nolde kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.653,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Nolde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herbstmeer XVI im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.344.500,00 (€ 6.305.915,69).
