Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Eva Hesse was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2010. The price achieved of USD 722,500.00 (€ 584,121.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eva Hesse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No title in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,980,000.00 (€ 3,569,826.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Eva Hesse wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 722.500,00 (€ 584.121,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eva Hesse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No title im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.980.000,00 (€ 3.569.826,89).
