Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Francis Alÿs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in May 2021. In the Collection Marion Lambert auction, the work Study For The Prophet sold for EUR 32,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Alÿs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study For The Last Clown in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 288,000.00 (€ 427,377.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis Alÿs erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Marion Lambert wurde die Arbeit Study For The Prophet für EUR 32.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Alÿs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study For The Last Clown im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 288.000,00 (€ 427.377,51).
