Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St. Guilhem by Franz Gertsch was sold in the Prints and Editions | ONLINE ONLY auction at VAN HAM in Cologne in January 2021. The price achieved of EUR 645.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Gertsch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Luciano Ii in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 2,746,250.00 (€ 3,218,333.92).

Die Arbeit St. Guilhem von Franz Gertsch wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Prints and Editions | ONLINE ONLY bei VAN HAM in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 645,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Gertsch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Luciano Ii im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.746.250,00 (€ 3.218.333,92).
