Auction result well in line with expectations
The work There's a ghost in my house by Ged Quinn was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,563.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ged Quinn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gone to Yours in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 193,250.00 (€ 227,632.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit There's a ghost in my house von Ged Quinn wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.563,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ged Quinn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gone to Yours im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 193.250,00 (€ 227.632,33).
