A top price for Georges Malkine - as previously expected
The work Shape and Silhouette by Georges Malkine was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. The price achieved of EUR 30,240.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 26,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Shape and Silhouette is the most expensive artwork by Georges Malkine that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Shape and Silhouette von Georges Malkine kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 30.240,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 26.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Shape and Silhouette das teuerste Kunstwerk von Georges Malkine, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
