Auction result well in line with expectations
The work T1966-H3 by Hans Hartung was sold in the Art contemporain auction at Christies in Paris in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 81,900.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Hartung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work T1956-13 in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 2,691,250.00.
