Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Cigarette And Whisky by He Sen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,490.14), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by He Sen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cigarettes And Alcohol in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,687,500.00 (€ 139,071.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cigarette And Whisky von He Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.490,14) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von He Sen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cigarettes And Alcohol im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.687.500,00 (€ 139.071,33).
