Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Grand Adieu by Henri Laurens was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 403,200.00 (€ 337,462.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henri Laurens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Boxeur in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 2,055,000.00 (€ 2,292,195.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Grand Adieu von Henri Laurens kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 403.200,00 (€ 337.462,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Laurens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Boxeur im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.055.000,00 (€ 2.292.195,94).
