Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Imi Knoebel was sold in the Living Contemporary auction at Sothebys in Cologne in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 12,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Imi Knoebel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Revolver I in April 2017 with an auction result of EUR 434,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Imi Knoebel wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Living Contemporary bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Imi Knoebel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Revolver I im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 434.500,00.
