In October 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Grand Prix De L'A. C. F., Automobile Delage by Jacques Henri Lartigue. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,469.83), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Henri Lartigue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,536.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grand Prix De L'A. C. F., Automobile Delage von Jacques Henri Lartigue zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.469,83) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques Henri Lartigue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.536,01) versteigert wurde.
