Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Chien by Joan Miró was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction at Christies in New York in November 2012. The price achieved of USD 266,500.00 (€ 204,842.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Chien von Joan Miró wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 204.842,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250,00 (€ 29.174.436,97).
