Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work L’Espace by Joan Miró for USD 381,000.00 (€ 357,612.16). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit L’Espace von Joan Miró für USD 381.000,00 (€ 357.612,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250,00 (€ 29.174.436,97).
