Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poète écrivant un poème dicté par l'oiseau de passage by Joan Miró was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in February 2007. The price achieved of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 444,739.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 300.000,00 (€ 444.739,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250,00 (€ 29.174.436,97).
