In November 2011 VAN HAM held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Pfirsiche by Johann Wilhelm Preyer. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,450.00 43% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Wilhelm Preyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stillleben mit Weinglas und Früchten in October 2003 with an auction result of EUR 97,750.00.

Im November 2011 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pfirsiche von Johann Wilhelm Preyer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.450,00 und damit 43% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Wilhelm Preyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stillleben mit Weinglas und Früchten im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 97.750,00.
