Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June last year Sothebys in Cologne held the auction Living Contemporary, which included the work Kleiner Wolf (Small Wolf) by Jonathan Meese. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,450.00 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Meese achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 132,500.00 (€ 190,278.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Köln die Auktion Living Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kleiner Wolf (Small Wolf) von Jonathan Meese zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.450,00 und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Meese erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Agamemnon's Hähnchenbesteck im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 132.500,00 (€ 190.278,72).
