Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Estudio Para "Gandhi Y El Imperialismo Inglés" by José Clemente Orozco was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 82,796.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Clemente Orozco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The City in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 923,680.17).
